Thoughts on AI from a branding and marketing standpoint…

Over the weekend, I saw 4 different businesses post the exact same caption for a Memorial Day post. This was not just a local connection. It was also a well known corporate company that I received an email from.
Word. For. Word.
Here’s the thing: This post isn’t to bash AI. I think it can be a great tool when used correctly and intentionally. But here’s what this means:
We know AI isn’t going anywhere.
More and more people are relying on it for marketing (and just for life/business in general).
And because of that… brands are going to begin sounding the same.
If standing out online felt hard before, we are entering a time where it’s going to take even MORE strategy and intentionality to connect with your audience.
There’s a psychology behind how we consume content.
Our brains are wired to ignore what feels repetitive or predictable.
We will straight up tune it out.
Inauthentic captions? Most people won’t even read them.
Content that lacks originality? It won’t stop the scroll.
Brands that blend in? They will get lost in the noise much easier.
As more content consumes our feeds, the people who will stand out aren’t the ones pumping out generic posts. This is why solidifying your brand matters now more than ever.
Your story.
Your message.
Your mission.
Your energy.
Your voice.
Your truth.
That is what will cut through the noise.
Content that can be felt on a human level.
Strategy that is about more than convenience.
But this isn’t just about creating content.
It’s about creating CONNECTION.
So yes, use AI.
But don’t lose your voice as this technology continues to advance.
Because in a world full of copy and paste, the ones who lead with authenticity will be the ones who truly stand out. Now is the time to invest in your brand. Something that speaks directly to the hearts of your people and leaves an impact.
It’s not just about thinking outside of the box… but actually stepping OUT of it.
